Get and export a transcript

Paste a public YouTube video URL on this page and sign in to continue. When a transcript is available, search and edit its text, then download TXT, SRT or VTT. Subtitle formats require a valid timeline.

SRT: keep the timing

SRT groups text into numbered cues with start and end times. Import it into a compatible editor, preview line breaks and make sure captions do not overlap.

Review before publishing

Automatic timing is not a finished subtitle track. Check names, punctuation, reading speed and synchronization. Exporting subtitles does not grant rights to the underlying video.
